The Issues That Matter

Ross Yard Sign.jpg

Friendswood is a city with a proud history and a bright future, but we need strong, forward-thinking leadership to ensure it remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

I’m running for City Council Position 6 because I believe we must take action on the issues that matter most—improving infrastructure, ensuring public safety, managing responsible growth, and supporting our local businesses.

Too often, these challenges have been met with delays or short-term fixes. It’s time for common-sense leadership that prioritizes the needs of Friendswood residents. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous future for our city.

By implementing a two-year moratorium on new net taxes, scrutinizing budget growth, streamlining operations, and strengthening financial planning, we can build reserves, improve infrastructure resilience, and prepare for future emergencies—without increasing the tax burden on Friendswood residents.

Our commitment to fiscal responsibility today will safeguard our community’s future and ensure that Friendswood remains financially strong, disaster-ready, and a great place to live and do business.
